Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of uhuruspace.com and the UhuruSpace web application (together, the "Service"), provided by UhuruSpace ("UhuruSpace," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What UhuruSpace is

UhuruSpace is a platform for service businesses to manage appointments, reservations, classes, walk-ins/check-ins, staff schedules, and customers, and to publish their own public storefront and booking pages — replacing scattered tools like spreadsheets, messaging apps, and disconnected booking widgets.

2. Accounts

A business owner creates the primary account for their business and can invite team members (staff, managers, accountants) with specific roles and permissions. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

3. Subscription plans and billing

New businesses start on a Trial plan. Paid plans (Starter, Growth, Scale) unlock higher usage limits and additional features. Plan changes and billing are currently coordinated directly between your business and the UhuruSpace team rather than through automated card billing — pricing and terms for your plan are confirmed during onboarding or when you change plans. 4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful.
• Attempt to bypass security controls, rate limits, or access data that isn't yours.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service without our permission.
• Use customer data collected through the Service in a way that violates applicable privacy law or your own commitments to your customers.

5. Your storefront and customer-facing content

If you publish a storefront or booking page, you're solely responsible for its content and for your interactions with the customers who book through it — including honoring the bookings, pricing, and policies you display.

6. Third-party integrations

The Service supports optional integrations — for example, syncing bookings to Google Calendar, or connecting your own Stripe account to accept payments. Using an integration also means agreeing to that provider's own terms; we're not responsible for how those third-party services operate.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or block an account that violates these Terms, abuses the Service, or has an unresolved billing issue. You can close your account at any time by contacting support@uhuruspace.com.

8. Ownership

UhuruSpace owns the Service itself — its software, design, and branding. You retain ownership of the data and content you and your customers put into the Service (your bookings, customer records, storefront content, and uploaded images).

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, UhuruSpace's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Tanzania.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and where a change is material, we'll let you know by email or an in-app notice.
