The Events engine is for any business that gathers people: a club night, a workshop, a tour, a launch. Publish the event, sell tickets or take free sign-ups, and check people in at the door by scanning a QR code.

How your guests get in

Four steps from seeing the event to holding the ticket.

Events appear on your storefront as cards, and each event opens in a window with everything a guest needs: the details, the ticket types, and a button to register. Nobody has to make an account.

At the door

Check people in by scanning, and never argue over a ticket.

Scan a guest's QR code, or type the short code if their phone is dead. The result is immediate: valid, already used (with when it was used), or the wrong event. You can also search the guest list and check someone in by hand. Counters show how many have arrived out of how many you expect.

Set up the event your way

One engine covers events, tours and club nights. The type only changes which extra details you can add.

Ticket types

As many types as you need, each with its own name, description, photo, price (or free), quantity, minimum and maximum per order, and how many people it admits.

Events, tours, club nights

Tours add a meeting point, duration, a minimum group size and a what-to-bring list. Club nights add an age limit, dress code and door policy.

Capacity

Cap each ticket type, or cap the whole event, and open and close registration on dates you pick.

Sign-up rules

Free or paid, instant or approved by you, with your own questions for guests to answer.

In person or online

Add the venue with a map link, or an online link that is only shared in the confirmation email.

An event stays a draft until you publish it, so you can get everything right before anyone sees it.

Run it

Run the event, not the spreadsheet.

The messy parts of an event (who has paid, who is allowed in, who needs an answer) live in one place.

Reserved until you're paid

Paid orders are held for a deadline you set. Guests pay by mobile money or bank (or through a payment link you add), you record the payment, and the tickets are issued. If the deadline passes, the tickets go back on sale.

Approve who comes

Turn on approval for an event and every request waits for you. Approve or decline, and the guest is emailed either way.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancel an order, or the whole event, and record refunds against the orders. The storefront shows a cancelled event as cancelled, and you can resend any guest's ticket when they lose it.

Guest list export

Download the guest list as a spreadsheet for the door, the caterer or the venue.

Emails that send themselves

Request received, payment due, payment received, the ticket, declined, expired, refunded, and a notice to every guest if you cancel the event. You can edit every email.

Your side of the platform

See how an event is doing, and who is on the list.

The Events overview shows your sales across events. Open any event for its own page.

  • Tickets sold, revenue recorded and a trend over time
  • A guest table with filters and search for every order and ticket
  • Record payments and refunds against an order
  • Approve, decline or cancel an order, and resend its tickets
  • Every buyer is added to your customer list, so you can invite them to the next one

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know about running events with UhuruSpace.

Yes. Free sign-up is simply a ticket type with a price of zero, so the same event can have free and paid tickets side by side.

Guests see your mobile money or bank instructions (or a payment link) and a reference, and their tickets are reserved until the payment deadline you set. When their money arrives you record the payment, and the tickets are issued. Automatic payment confirmation is not part of Events yet.

Every ticket has a QR code and a short code. Scan it, or type the code, and you see at once whether it is valid, already used, or for another event. You can also search the guest list and check someone in by hand.

Yes. Turn on approval for an event and each request waits until you approve or decline it. Tickets are only issued once the order is confirmed.

Yes. A ticket type can admit any number of people, like a family ticket for four. When a ticket admits more than one person, each person's name is asked at registration.

Cancel it from your dashboard. The storefront shows it as cancelled, no more registrations are accepted, and every ticket holder is emailed. Record refunds against the orders.

Yes. Choose the type when you create it. Tours add a meeting point, minimum group size and what to bring. Club nights add an age limit, dress code and door policy.

Events is one of your engines. How many engines you can switch on depends on your plan. See the plans on the pricing page.
