Memberships & vouchers
Turn one-time customers
into regulars.
The Memberships engine lets you sell what people come back for: a pack of classes, a monthly pass, a gift voucher. Customers get a pass with a QR code, and you scan it at the door or the counter to use up a visit.
How it works for your customers
From choosing a plan to using the pass.
Your plans sit on your storefront next to your services. A customer picks one, you confirm it, and from then on their pass does the work.
A pass your staff can check in two seconds.
Give your front desk a scanner page protected by an access code you choose. Scanning a pass shows who it belongs to and what is left, and uses a credit. A pass without a QR code can be redeemed by typing its short code. The code is only created once a membership is active, so a pass that hasn't been approved can't be used. Every redemption is logged.
Create plans that fit your business
Three kinds of plan cover most businesses. You choose what each one is worth and what it can be used for.
Credit packs
Sell a set number of visits, like ten classes or five massages, with the number of days they stay valid. Each use takes one credit, and the pass shows how many are left.
Time-based memberships
A pass that lasts a number of days, optionally with a cap on visits per period.
Gift vouchers
A bundle of services at a discount, or a number of one service. Buyers can give it to someone else.
What it covers
Limit a plan to certain engines, like Classes only, or to specific services.
Issued or requested
Customers request plans on your storefront, or you issue one to a customer yourself.
Plans are archived, not deleted, so passes you have already sold keep working.
Behind the pass
Sell the pass, track the visits.
Everything that happens after the sale (the approval, the payment, the visits) stays in one record per customer.
Payments you record
Record each payment against the membership, with the method and a reference. A membership shows as unpaid, part paid or paid, and customers get a receipt.
A scanner that is locked
The scanner page needs your access code, and it locks after repeated wrong guesses, so a code can't be brute-forced at your counter.
A history for every pass
Open a member to see their credits left, when each one was used and whether it was scanned or entered by hand.
The pass by email
Customers get their pass as an email and a PDF card with the QR code on it. You can edit the email.
In your customer list
Everyone who holds a pass is already in your customer list, with their memberships on their profile.
See every member, and what they have left.
The Memberships page lists every pass, so you can answer "does she still have visits?" without a notebook.
- Filter by status: pending, active, expired, used up or cancelled
- Approve or decline requests from one list
- Issue a plan to a customer in a few clicks
- Redeem a pass by typing its code, from any device
- Set the scanner code for your front desk
Who uses Memberships
Any business with customers who come back.
If a customer pays once for many visits, or gives a visit as a gift, Memberships tracks it.

Everything you need to know about selling memberships and vouchers with UhuruSpace.
A credit pack gives a number of visits within a number of days. A time-based membership lasts a number of days, with an optional cap on visits per period. A voucher covers a bundle of services at a discount, or a number of one service, and can be given as a gift.
They request it on your storefront and you approve it, or you issue it to them yourself from your dashboard. Either way they receive a pass once it is active.
Customers pay you by mobile money, bank or cash, and you record the payment against their membership. Part payments are supported. Automatic payment confirmation is not part of Memberships yet.
Every active pass has a QR code and a short code. Your staff scan the QR code, or type the code, and one visit or voucher item is used. The pass shows what is left.
Yes. The buyer adds the recipient's name and email, and the voucher goes to the recipient.
Whatever you choose. A plan can cover whole engines, like all Classes, or only specific services.
A pass only gets its code when it becomes active, and the scanner page is protected by an access code you set. It locks after repeated wrong attempts.
Memberships is one of your engines. How many engines you can switch on, and how many membership and voucher types you can create, depends on your plan. See the plans on the pricing page.
